Unlike the five other models, which operate in stand-alone configurations, the ECR 3550T has two outlets for connection to a PC and a barcode reader. An invaluable facility that makes work behind the counter easier, faster and more secure. DUAL CONNECTION The PC link activates a special program to enter all the information you need directly from the computer, instead of manually, step by step, from the cash register keyboard. The second link, to the barcode reader, enables direct recognition of preset barcodes, making for a much faster error-free procedure. FOR MULTI-DEPARTMENT RETAILERS The Olivetti ECR 3550T is ideal for retailers with medium-size shops, who sell a variety of goods and employ a number of sales clerks. It supports up to 1000 PLUs, 40 departments and 26 clerks. The multi-clerk feature, fully tested on the previous models, includes an identity code for each operator, authorising him or her to access specific sectors. The store manager has access to all sectors, to monitor operations as a whole. ADVANCED ACCESSORIES The new Olivetti cash register is equipped with a dual-station thermal printer, an RS232 PC port, an RS232 Barcode reader port, a PC connection cable and a floppy disk for programming.
